Achala Sachdev was an Indian film and television actress. She appeared in over 100 Bollywood films, including popular movies such as Dilwale Dulhania Le Jayenge, Kal Ho Naa Ho, and Kabhi Khushi Kabhie Gham. Sachdev was known for her supporting roles and often played the role of a mother or grandmother. She passed away in 2012 at the age of 91.
