A.E. Matthews (1869-1960) was an English stage and screen actor. He appeared in over 80 films, including "Things to Come" (1936) and "The Citadel" (1938). He specialized in portraying eccentric characters and was known for his distinctive voice and delivery. Matthews was also a successful stage actor, performing in numerous productions in London's West End.
