Alan Ladd (1913-1964) was an American actor known for his roles in film noir and westerns. He gained popularity in the 1940s and 1950s with movies such as “This Gun for Hire” (1942), “Shane” (1953), and “The Carpetbaggers” (1964). He was known for his stoic presence on screen and was one of Hollywood’s biggest stars during his career.
