Alan Napier was a British actor who appeared in over 150 films and television shows throughout his career. He is best known for his role as Alfred Pennyworth in the television series Batman. Other notable roles include Claudius in Hamlet and Major-General Urquhart in M*A*S*H. Napier passed away in 1988.
