Sir Anthony Hopkins is a Welsh actor, director, and producer. He is best known for his role as Hannibal Lecter in the film "The Silence of the Lambs", for which he won an Academy Award. Hopkins has appeared in numerous other films, television shows, and theatrical productions throughout his career. He was knighted by Queen Elizabeth II in 1993.
