Barbara Loden
Barbara Loden was an American actress and filmmaker best known for her 1970 film "Wanda" which she wrote, directed and starred in. The film, which documents the mundane and hopeless life of a woman in rural Pennsylvania, was critically acclaimed but did not receive widespread distribution at the time of its release. Loden has since been recognized as a pioneering female filmmaker. She passed away in 1980.
