Barry Sadler
Barry Sadler was an American author, soldier, and musician, who is best known for writing the hit song "Ballad of the Green Berets" in 1966. He also wrote a series of books based on his experiences as a U.S. Army Special Forces medic during the Vietnam War. Sadler died in 1989 at the age of 49.
