Bruno Cremer was a French actor best known for playing Chief Inspector Jules Maigret in the television adaptation of Georges Simenon's Maigret novels. He also appeared in several films, including Jean-Jacques Annaud's The Name of the Rose. He died in 2010 at the age of 80.
