Burgess Meredith was an American actor, director, and producer, known for his versatile acting skills in film, television, and theater. He appeared in numerous iconic roles such as the Penguin in the Batman TV series and the trainer in the Rocky film series. Meredith received two Academy Award nominations for his supporting roles in The Day of the Locust and Rocky.
