Carol Baker is an American actress and novelist, born on May 28, 1931. She started her acting career in the 1950s with a role in the movie "Giant." She received an Academy Award nomination for her supporting role in the film "Baby Doll" in 1956. Throughout her career, she has appeared in several notable films and television programs, including "The Big Country," "How the West Was Won," "Ironweed," and "Picket Fences." She has also written several novels, including "African Nights" and "Cassandra Singing."
