Charles Bickford was an American character actor who appeared in over 100 films during his career, including "The Song of Bernadette" and "The Big Country." He won a Best Supporting Actor Oscar nomination for his role in "The Farmer's Daughter" in 1947. Bickford passed away in 1967 at the age of 76.
