Charles Dickens
Charles Dickens was an English writer and social critic. He was born in 1812 and his novels, including Oliver Twist, A Tale of Two Cities, and Great Expectations, have become some of the most beloved and enduring works of literature in English. Dickens was a champion of the poor and marginalized, and his stories are rich with memorable characters, humor, and social commentary. He died in 1870 at the age of 58.
