Chris Carter is an American author and producer, best known for creating the television series The X-Files. He has won several awards for his work, including the Edgar Award for Best Television Feature/Mini-Series Teleplay and the Saturn Award for Best Genre Television Series. Carter's other notable works include the television series Millennium and the film The X-Files: Fight the Future.
