David Butler was an American film director, actor, and screenwriter active from 1914 to 1957. He directed more than 60 films, including The Princess and the Pirate (1944), Road to Morocco (1942), and Kentucky (1938). He was recognized with a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame for his contributions to the film industry.
