Douglas Walton is a Canadian philosopher and logician, born in Toronto in 1942. He is best known for his work in the field of argumentation and is the author of numerous books and articles on topics such as informal logic, fallacies, and dialogue theory. He is currently a professor of philosophy at the University of Windsor.
