Eartha Kitt was a singer, actress, and dancer known for her distinctive voice and stage presence. She rose to fame in the 1950s and 1960s for her cabaret performances and film roles, including playing Catwoman in the Batman TV series. She was also an outspoken activist and advocate for civil rights and social justice. Kitt passed away in 2008 at the age of 81.
