Elizabeth McGovern is an American actress and musician. She first gained critical acclaim for her role in the film Ordinary People, which earned her an Academy Award nomination. She is also known for her role as Cora Crawley in the British television series Downton Abbey. Outside of acting, McGovern is a singer-songwriter who has released several albums.
