Flip Wilson was an American comedian and actor who rose to fame in the late 1960s and 1970s. He was the host of his own television variety series called The Flip Wilson Show, and he is most remembered for his comedic characters, including Geraldine Jones. Wilson passed away in 1998 at the age of 64.
