Florence Stanley was an American lawyer and judge who served as a Justice of the New York State Supreme Court from 1983 until her retirement in 1999. She was known for her dedication to social justice and her work on landmark cases, including the case that allowed same-sex couples to adopt children in New York State. She passed away in 2003.
