Gene Saks was an American stage and film director and actor. He directed many successful Broadway productions, including several by Neil Simon, and won Tony Awards for his direction of "I Love My Wife" and "Brighton Beach Memoirs." As an actor, he appeared in films such as "A Guide for the Married Man" and "Nobody's Fool." Saks passed away in 2015 at the age of 93.
