Gerard Way is an American musician, singer, songwriter, and comic book writer. He is best known as the lead vocalist of the rock band My Chemical Romance, which he co-founded in 2001. Way's creative ventures have also included writing comic books such as "The Umbrella Academy" which was later adapted into a Netflix series.
