Gino Cervi
Gino Cervi (1901-1974) was an Italian actor best known for playing the role of Peppone in a series of films based on the novels of Giovanni Guareschi. He was also a director and producer, as well as a political activist who was briefly imprisoned during World War II. Cervi's acting career spanned over 40 years and he appeared in more than 100 films.
