Gladys Knight is a legendary American singer, songwriter, and actress with a career that spans over six decades. She began singing in gospel choirs in her childhood and went on to become the lead vocalist of Gladys Knight & the Pips, one of the most successful R&B groups of the 1960s and 70s. Knight has won seven Grammy Awards and has been inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame.
