Guillermo del Toro is a Mexican filmmaker, author, and former special effects makeup artist. He is best known for directing films such as Pan's Labyrinth, The Shape of Water, and Crimson Peak. Del Toro has won numerous awards for his work, including two Academy Awards, two Golden Globe Awards, and the BAFTA Award for Best Direction.
