Harry Beresford was a British-born stage and screen actor who appeared in over 100 films between 1914 and 1947. He was known for his character roles, often playing wise old men or eccentrics. He is perhaps best remembered for his role as the kindly Professor Marvel in the 1939 film The Wizard of Oz.
