J. Farrell MacDonald was an American character actor and director. He appeared in over 325 films between 1911 and 1952, including notable roles in The Grapevine Telegraph (1917), Sunrise: A Song of Two Humans (1927), and My Man Godfrey (1936). MacDonald also directed 99 films between 1914 and 1938.
