Joan Fontaine was an American actress, born in Tokyo, Japan in 1917. She began her acting career in the late 1930s and quickly gained attention for her performances in "Rebecca" and "Suspicion," which earned her an Academy Award. Fontaine appeared in numerous films throughout her career and was known for her captivating performances and timeless beauty. She passed away in 2013 at the age of 96.
