King George VI of the United Kingdom was the King of the United Kingdom and the Dominions of the British Commonwealth from 11 December 1936 until his death on 6 February 1952. He was famous for being the last Emperor of India and the first Head of the Commonwealth. Despite his intense struggle with stammering, he delivered many important speeches during World War II, including his address on 3 September 1939, when the United Kingdom declared war on Germany.
