Layne Staley was an American musician known as the lead vocalist and lyricist of the grunge band Alice in Chains. He was born in 1967 in Kirkland, Washington and tragically passed away in 2002 due to a drug overdose. Staley's unique voice and haunting lyrics continue to inspire generations of music fans.
