Leela Chitnis
Leela Chitnis was an Indian actress who appeared in over 50 Hindi films in a career spanning three decades. She is best known for playing the mother of the lead character in many classic Hindi films of the 1940s and 1950s. Chitnis was also one of the first women in Indian cinema to work as a film director.
