Leopold Stokowski was a highly influential conductor and arranger, known for his dynamic stage presence and innovative approach to classical music. He served as the musical director of the Philadelphia Orchestra and made several groundbreaking recordings, including the soundtrack to Disney's "Fantasia". He continued to perform and teach until his death in 1977.
