Leos Carax is a French film director, writer and actor, best known for his surreal, poetic and dreamlike style. He started making short films in the early 1980s, and gained critical acclaim with his first feature film, "Boy Meets Girl" in 1984. He has since directed several highly regarded films, including "Mauvais Sang", "The Lovers on the Bridge" and "Holy Motors".
