Margarethe von Trotta

Margarethe von Trotta is a German film director, screenwriter, and actress. She began her career as an actress in the 1960s and later turned to directing, co-founding the film production company, Antenne-3. Her films often focus on women's experiences and relationships, and she has won numerous awards for her work, including the Golden Lion at the Venice Film Festival.
