May Hallatt was an American character actress, born in Montana in 1890. She appeared in over 300 films and television shows between 1914 and 1964, often playing minor or comedic roles. Hallatt's most notable roles include appearances in "The Wizard of Oz" and "Gone with the Wind." She died in California in 1981, aged 90.
