Mike Durant
Mike Durant is a retired soldier and former Chief Warrant Officer 3 in the United States Army. He was a pilot of the Black Hawk helicopter that was shot down in Somalia in 1993, an incident that inspired the book and movie "Black Hawk Down". After his release from captivity as a prisoner of war, he continued to serve in the military until his retirement in 2001.
