Nigel Planer is an English actor, comedian, and novelist. He is best known for his role as Neil Pye in the TV series The Young Ones and as Ralph Filthy in Filthy Rich & Catflap. He has also appeared in numerous stage productions and films. In addition to his acting career, Planer has written several novels and is an accomplished playwright.
