Noble Sissle

Noble Sissle was an American jazz composer, lyricist, bandleader, and playwright who was best known for his partnership with Eubie Blake. Together they wrote the Broadway musical Shuffle Along, which was the first successful Broadway show to have African American writers and an all-Black cast. Sissle continued to compose music and perform throughout his career until his death in 1975.
