Okwui Okpokwasili is a Nigerian-American performance artist, writer, and choreographer based in New York City. She has worked in theatre, dance, and film, and her work often explores themes of gender, race, and identity. Okpokwasili was a recipient of the MacArthur Fellowship in 2018.
