Oscar Levant

Oscar Levant was an American pianist, composer, author, comedian, and actor. He is best known for his appearances in films such as An American in Paris and The Band Wagon. He also had a successful career as a concert pianist and wrote several books, including his memoir, A Smattering of Ignorance. Levant was known for his wit and humor, but also struggled with mental illness throughout his life.
