Ossie Davis was an American actor, writer, and director known for his civil rights activism. He appeared in films such as "Do the Right Thing" and "Malcolm X" and received an Emmy award for his role in "Miss Evers' Boys". Davis was married to actress and activist Ruby Dee and the duo were known for their advocacy work. He passed away in 2005.
