Patricia Phoenix was an English actress best known for playing the role of Elsie Tanner in the long-running British soap opera Coronation Street. She appeared in the show for over two decades and was one of its most beloved and iconic characters. Phoenix also had a successful career on stage and in films before and after her time on Coronation Street. She passed away in 1986 at the age of 62.
