Pérez Prado
Pérez Prado was a Cuban bandleader, pianist, and composer who is credited with creating the Mambo style of music in the 1940s. He was known for his high-energy performances and became popular in the United States with hits such as "Mambo No. 5" and "Cherry Pink and Apple Blossom White." He died in 1989 at the age of 72.
