. Phyllis Newman (1933-2019) was an American actress and singer. She appeared in numerous Broadway productions, including "Subways Are for Sleeping" and "The Madwoman of Central Park West." Newman also had roles in films such as "Mannequin" and "To Find a Man." She was a breast cancer activist and founded the Phyllis Newman Women’s Health Initiative.
