Raúl Ruiz (1941-2011) was a Chilean-French filmmaker, known for his highly stylized and surreal films that often blended elements of fiction and documentary. He directed over 100 films in his lifetime, including "Time Regained" and "Mysteries of Lisbon." Ruiz was considered one of the most prominent and innovative filmmakers of his generation.
