Ray Whitley was an American actor, singer, and songwriter who appeared in over 100 films between 1929 and 1943. He is best known for his appearances in B-westerns and his work as a singing cowboy star. Whitley also became a successful songwriter, penning hits such as "Back in the Saddle Again" for Gene Autry.
