Rentaro Mikuni (1923-2013) was a Japanese actor known for his roles in classics such as The Human Condition and Samurai Trilogy. He also directed and wrote screenplays for films. Mikuni won numerous awards, including the Best Actor Award at the Cannes Film Festival in 1970 for his role in Sunflower.
