Roland Topor was a French writer, illustrator, playwright, and filmmaker who was known for his dark and absurd humor. He was the co-founder of the Panic movement, a collective of avant-garde artists who embraced the absurd and rejected traditional forms of art. Topor's work was influential in the development of surrealism and postmodernism. He died in 1997 at the age of 59.
