Romeo Santos, born in 1981 in New York City, is a Dominican-American singer, songwriter, record producer, and actor. He was the lead vocalist of the bachata band Aventura before embarking on a successful solo career, and his music blends traditional Dominican bachata with R&B, pop, and hip hop elements. Santos has sold over 40 million records worldwide and has won numerous Latin music awards.
