Ron O'Neal was an American actor, director, and screenwriter, best known for his role in the 1972 blaxploitation film "Super Fly." He also appeared in several other films and TV shows throughout his career. He was born on September 1, 1937, in Utica, New York, and passed away on January 14, 2004, in Los Angeles, California.
