Roscoe Ates was an American actor known for his distinctive high-pitched voice and his role in several films, including "Roughly Speaking" and "The Champ". He received an Academy Award nomination for his supporting role in "The Best Years of Our Lives". Ates also worked as a musician and songwriter before becoming an actor. He passed away in 1962 at the age of 77.
